Portal and Workflow Technology

Microsoft SharePoint provides an excellent centralized marquee for displaying reports and chart data from various systems. SharePoint is a standard for a large population of Hospitals and Health Care organizations in the U.S.  The Quality Device provides System-wide Applications that are additional capabilities built on top of the Microsoft platform. Specifically, by developing the Solution Centers on the Microsoft SharePoint Platform, all users of the system have access to system-wide capabilities inherent in this platform. The system-wide applications are:
 
•        Dashboard Center – Secure intranet area for dashboards and key performance indicators. Views are individually role-based. Each department or staff person is able to see their own metrics while management is able to review all dashboards. Key staff is notified via email when dashboards are refreshed or updated.
 
•        Report Center – Secure centralized library for all quality reports, views are individually role-based. Key staff is notified via email when new reports are generated and inserted. All uploads and downloads by users are tracked for audit.
 
•        Document Center – Secure centralized library for all common documents (standard forms, letters, etc.) Views are individually role-based. Key staff is notified via email when document edits are generated and inserted. All uploads and downloads by users are tracked for audit.
